Is your pitch deck missing what investors look for?
Paste the deck or upload a PDF, PowerPoint, or OpenDocument presentation. SimVC will identify missing canonical sections and narrative-order problems—the structural gaps investors notice fastest. This is the preparation check, not the investor simulation.
0 / 60,000 characters · Maximum 25 sections and 4,000 characters per section.
This is a structural read only. It does not predict whether you will raise and never emits a funding probability.
What the free deck check looks for
SimVC checks your pitch deck against the canonical deck grammar — the eleven sections investors expect to find. Five are investor-critical, and missing any of them tends to raise questions in the first minutes of a meeting. The tool also checks narrative order: whether the story arrives in a sequence an investor can follow. It reads structure only — it never scores your chance of raising.

How it works
- Add your deck — Paste the text, or upload a PDF, PowerPoint (PPTX), or OpenDocument (ODP) file.
- Run the check — SimVC classifies every slide against the canonical grammar in one pass. No account, no card.
- Read the report — See which sections are present, which are missing, which investor-critical sections are absent, and any narrative-order problems.
Input and output. Input: a PDF, PPTX, or ODP presentation, or pasted text (up to 60,000 characters, 25 sections, 4,000 characters per section). Output: present sections, missing sections, missing investor-critical sections, narrative-order violations, and a one-line read of what the deck communicates. No funding-probability score.
Frequently asked questions
- Is the SimVC deck check free?
- Yes. The deck check is completely free, needs no account and no credit card. It runs a structural read of your pitch deck and returns which sections are present, which are missing, and any narrative-order problems.
- What does the deck check look for?
- It checks your deck against eleven canonical pitch-deck sections: problem, solution, why now, market, product, traction, business model, competition, team, the ask, and use of funds. Five are investor-critical — problem, traction, competition, team, and the ask — and are flagged separately when missing.
- Does the deck check predict whether I will raise?
- No. It is a structural read only. It never outputs a funding probability or a chance-of-raising score. It tells you which investor-critical sections are missing and where the narrative runs out of order, so you can fix the deck before an investor sees it.
- What file formats can I check?
- Upload a PDF, PowerPoint (PPTX), or OpenDocument (ODP) presentation, or paste your deck as text (up to 60,000 characters). The tool extracts the slides and classifies each against the canonical deck grammar.
- How is the free deck check different from the paid SimVC simulation?
- The free deck check reads structure only — missing or out-of-order sections. The paid simulation runs your deck past a cohort of up to 300 simulated investor profiles to surface recurring objections, the questions you must answer, and the deck fixes most likely to help the next meeting.
- What happens to my deck after the check?
- The uploaded file is processed to run the check and then removed. SimVC keeps only anonymous metadata such as the file format and slide count. The deck check needs no account and stores no personal deck content.
